6 Days safari In Tanzania

This African safari Tanzania program starts and ends at Arusha town and starts with a visit to Lake Manyara, then Serengeti National park before winding it up at Ngorongoro Crater. This itinerary is fully customizable and you can choose to visit Tarangire National Park instead of Lake Manyara National park, but also it is possible to forfeit a day at Serengeti and do both Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara in addition to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater.

6 Days Lodge Safari: Manyara/Serengeti /Ngorongoro

Day 01:                         Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

Depart from Arusha and drive to Lake Manyara national Park in the morning. Arriving there in the late afternoon you register at the gate and go for game viewing inside this beautiful park. Lunch will be taken at one of the many picnic sites in the park then drive to the lakeside to see some hippos, and aquatic birds including flamingos, Egyptian geese, pelicans, little grebes etc. Many animals can be spotted in this park including impalas, dikdiks, elephants, giraffes and many more. We will drive in the late afternoon to the Kirurumu Tented Camp or at the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge perched at the Rift valley escarpment offering stunning views over the lake.

Day 02:                     Manyara – Serengeti National Park

In the morning after breakfast, off we are gone and we are headed to the Serengeti National Park. We cross the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and before we enter the Naabi Hill gate we have a brief stop to see the Olduvai Gorge. Here we will be led through a brief narration about the discoveries of a million and half old fossils of human origin that was discovered by a great anthropologist Leakey and his wife Mary.  As we drive to the lodge/tented camp we will be doing game drives on the way. We will check in the late afternoon at Serengeti Sopa Lodge or just outside the Serengeti National Park at Mapito Tented Camp. This is a place where you will feel like you are realy on an African safari Tanzania.

Day 03 - 04:                                    Full day Serengeti National Park

We spend two full days at the Serengeti National Park doing game drives in search of animals among them, didkdiks, elands, topis, gazelles, elephants, buffaloes and the recently introduced Rhinos. Depending on when you will travel to Serengeti you may see the Great Migration that involves the movement of a million and a half plus wildebeests accompanied to more than 200,000 zebras and gazelles, to different parts of Serengeti and ending in Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya every year. We will spend 02 x Overnight at Mapito Tented Camp or at Serengeti Sopa Lodge.

Day 05:                           Serengeti – Ngorongoro

Depart Serengeti to drive to Ngorongoro Crater. We will do game drives for the whole day and if we are lucky we will spot the Big five , namely the elephant, Buffaloes, leopards, lions, and rhinos. Many other animals can be spotted at Ngorongoro Crater, small predators to antelopes to big cats alike In the late afternoon we drive to The Crater Rim where we check in at the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.

Day 06:                         Ngorongoro – Arusha

A leisurely breakfast at the lodge and there after check out to go for a visit to the Masai Village. Here we will experience the daily life of these incredible people who have braved the westernization wave that has swept throughout the continent and still holds on to their cultural and traditional practices.  We  will there after drive back to Arusha town with a brief stop at Karatu town and Mto wa Mbu if we wish to mingle more with the locals and have a chance to do some shopping of souvenirs. That also makes a great impact on the local people by helping them make a living even with a 10 dollar worth of shopping.
