Quick Driving & Flying Distances

  • Arusha to Tarangire: 130 km – 2 hours
  • Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater: 190 km – 3–3.5 hours
  • Arusha to Serengeti (central): 325 km – 6–8 hours or 1-hour flight
  • Serengeti to Zanzibar: 1–1.5 hour direct flight
  • Dar es Salaam to Ruaha: 1 hour 15 min flight
  • Dar es Salaam to Nyerere (Selous): 45 min flight

All routes across Tanzania are easily combined with short domestic flights or comfortable private 4×4 drives with your own dedicated guide and vehicle. Flying saves hours (or even full days) on rough roads, while driving lets you enjoy scenic game-viewing en route and stop for photos whenever you like.
