Serengeti Safari and Zanzibar 9 Days – Bush and Beach Adventure 2026/2027

After touching down at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be greeted by our driver who will welcome you to Tanzania and offer a comfortable transfer to Arusha, the Tanzania Safari base town, nestled at the foot of Mount Meru.

Depending on your time of arrival you will take the afternoon to unwind or join a relaxed orientation tour—perhaps meandering through Arusha town and visit The Masai Market or the Arusha Cultural Heritage Center, with our local guides.

Overnight: Planet Lodge – A comfortable mid range lodge with garden-view rooms, swimming pool, and meals prepared from on-site produce. (Meals: Dinner).

After a breakfast at your lodge head out through the Great Rift Valley to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will visit the Ngorongoro Crater—a massive volcanic caldera teeming with over 25,000 animals.

You will make a stop at the Loduare Main Gate for registration and a second stop at the Crater’s View Point for stunning views and a chance to take photos. You will thereafter descend into the crater for a full day of game viewing from the floor: look for hippos in the soda lakes, hyenas on the grasslands, or flamingos along the shores. Ngorongoro Crater is home of the African Big Five; Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Buffaloes and the Black Rhinos. This day you will be taking picnic lunch at the Crater floor, and later in the late afternoon, you will transfer back to the Karatu area where you will check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Overnight: Farm of the Dreams Lodge – A mid-range property on a family farm, with simple comfortable stone-built rooms and garden to kitchen organic meals. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

After breakfast you will travel westward to Serengeti National Park, the epicenter of the Great Migration. Enroute, you may choose to visit a Masai Tribe village to learn more on their culture and traditions or the Olduvai Gorge Museum, an important human evolution site that suggest Africa is the cradle of mankind. Olduvai Gorge Museum visit is a historical side trip to explore fossil exhibits from the Leakey’s discoveries.These optional detours are at a small supplement.

Arriving Serengeti through Naab Gate, your afternoon game drives take you through acacia-studded landscapes with giraffes, zebras, and potential lion sightings. Serengeti is home to many large and small animals, as well as more than 500 species of birds. In the late afternoon you will be transferred to your camp for relaxation, camp fire, dinner and overnight.

Overnight: Tukaone Serengeti Weavers Camp – A nice mid range tented camp located in Ce tral Serengeti. This is one of the best value for money camps, with great service and great food. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Explore the Serengeti’s Seronera heartland with morning and afternoon game drives, exploring the endless open plains. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, in order to make the most of your time in the Serengeti, or if you wish, take a midday break at the camp for lunch and relaxation.

Expect to see many large and small mammals including leopards, lions, giraffes, topis, gazelles, impalas, hartebeests, large numbers of wildebeests and many more. Serenge is renown for large numbers of the big cats families, as well as small cats like civets and caracals.

Your guide will be in touch with other guides through VHF radios fitted in your 4×4 specialized safari landcruiser in order to lead you to the best wildlife viewing areas with high chances of spotting animal actions like predator hunt downs.

These two days are the best for doing the optional hot air balloon at dawn until 09.00 in the morning when you will be done and can proceed with the days safari game drives. Extra cost of USD 599 per person inclusive of full English Breakfast with champagne at the landing site.

Overnight: Tukaone Serengeti Weavers Camp. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Depending on the time of year and interests, we can customize your itinerary to include a night or two at Northern Serengeti in case you wish to try your luck with wildebeests migration / rivercrosising sighting.

After an early breakfast at your camp, you will be transferred to Seronera Airstrip with one final game drive en route. Board a scheduled flight from Seronera Airstrip (SEU) to Zanzibar Airport (ZNZ), arriving on main island of Unguja in the afternoon.

Our representative will meet and welcome you to Zanzibar upon arrival, and offer you a private transfer to  your prefered beach hotel, where you will check in and relax by the pool or beach.

Overnight: Zanzibar Queen Hotel – A mid-range beach hotel in the Matemwe beach, with standard (some sea-facing) rooms and suites with private plunge pools, two common swimming pool facilities, and a diving center on site. (Meals: Breakfast and dinner included)

On arrival, if you wish, you may join a historical city tour of the Stonetown guided by our local guides like Abraham.

After a memorable Serengeti safari, you will spend the next two days relaxing at your beach hotel or exploring Zanzibar’s coastal offerings: snorkel over coral reefs teeming with fish, or try an introductory dive at the hotel’s PADI center (gear included).

Abraham, our experienced local guide, can arrange any other extra activities like sunset dhow cruise with fresh seafood and insights into Swahili history. You may also choose to do activities like Jozani Forest tour, Dolphin tours in Kizimkazi, Spice Tours, Safari Blue and many others.
