This 6 days Luxury safari in Tanzania will have you fly into the Serengeti National Park from the Arusha Domestic Airstrip where you will spend the next 3 days and 2 nights before transferring to the Ngorongoro. Seronera Airstrip is the main airstrip where you will land in the Serengeti, but depending on the time of travel, you may also fly into one of the other Airstrips like Lobo, Lamai, Grumeti or others.

This is a safari package that you can take any time of the year but the best time to take this luxury safari in Tanzania is during the drier months between June and October but also January to March. The other good time to visit is November to December when the parks are green and beautiful but also temperatures are cooler.
April & May are the long rains season and it is always good to avoid this time if you can, but if you want to enjoy the luxury accommodations and the luxury safari experience at a discount price, then this is the best time to visit. 6-Day Tanzania Luxury Safari Itinerary
Transfer to Arusha Domestic Airport for a flight to Serengeti
First day of your 6 Days Luxury Safari adventure in Tanzania, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha or directly from Kilimanjaro International Airport if you have an early morning arrival, and transfer to Arusha Domestic Airport, where you will take your early morning flight to the Serengeti National Park.
Your private safari guide will meet you at the airstrip on arrival, and the adventure in Serengeti begins straightaway! We will spend the rest of the day exploring the vast Serengeti plains in search for the Big Cats as well as large and small game alike. Serengeti’s name is derived from the Masai Word’ Siringit’ which means endless plains.
Late in the afternoon you will be taken to your lodge or camp for relaxation and later dinner and overnight in the middle of the Serengeti. Overnight at Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge. Lunch and Dinner included.
Upgrades also available at a supplement; you may stay at Four Seasons Serengeti Lodge, Melia Serengeti Lodge, Naona Moru Camp, One Nature Camp, Mwiba Lodge or one of the Ole Serai Luxury Camps. On this second day of your safari adventure in Tanzania, you have an option to wake up early for a sunrise safari if you don’t mind waking up early. The early morning safari game drive offers unique opportunity to spot a few nocturnal species retiring from a night hunting outing, but also the animals tend to be more active during this time before the sun is hot.
You may also choose to wake up for a hearty breakfast in the morning then leave the camp with a lunch box in order to spend the whole day out there in the wilderness searching for animals.
The over 14,000 Kilometers square of wilderness makes Serengeti one of the best wildlife safari destinations in the world. The Serengeti is home to the wildebeests migration, the big cats; Lions, leopards and Cheetahs but also the Big 5 of Africa. With a little bit of luck you may spot the lions, elephants, buffaloes, Rhinos, leopards, zebras, giraffes, impalas, gazelles, topis, hartebeests, jackals, hyenas. The list is endless! Serengeti is also a birders haven with more than 500 bird species recorded, both migratory and non-migratory alike.
You will spend these two days doing safari game drives at your own pace as the safari is a private tour and therefore very flexible. Please make sure that you discuss the next day’s schedule with your professional safari guide in the evening.

Serengeti – Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
After breakfast at your lodge or camp on this morning, you will depart from Serengeti and transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with game viewing en route. You will be entering the NCA through the Naabi Hill Gate where you will make a brief stop for registration. You will arrive at your lodge at the Crater rim where you will check in at your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Optional Activities: On your way to Ngorongoro Highlands, you will have the options of visiting one of the Masai Villages to learn about the famous Masai tribe’s culture. This offers you a rare chance to learn a few facts about their lifestyle, cultures and traditions. You may also visit the Olduvai Gorge an archaeological site with a museum on site; a place where Dr Luis and Mary Leakey discovered the fossils of the hominid that they named Zinjanthropus boisei (later reclassified as Paranthropus boisei).

The Lake Makat at the middle of the lake ensures that there is constant water supply within the Ngorongoro Crater and the lakeside makes a great game viewing region in the Ngorongoro Crater. Later in the afternoon you will be taken back to your lodge / camp for relaxation and inner and overnight.
