We offer long and short period combines wildlife safari and beach itineraries and in this 8 days safari and Zanzibar beach package we have balanced experience and budget. It is the cheapest way of combing bush and beach in Tanzania. The safari itinerary starts with arrival into Kilimanjaro International Airport where you will be met and transferred to Arusha for overnight stay so that you may start early next morning to Tarangire National Park for game drives. On the second day you will be amazed by the amount of wildlife you will see at close range in the 6000-meter deep Ngorongoro Crater (a natural zoo) of its own sorts. On the 4^th day you will visit Lake Manyara National Park for game drives in this little gem of a park before transferring to Arusha for a flight to the Spice Island of Zanzibar.

The short safari to Tarangire, Lake Manyara & Ngorongoro Crater is one short safari that offers you the chance to spot all the big five before you go for your Zanzibar beach relaxation.

During this tour you will be accommodated in nice mid range lodges or tented camps as per the published itinerary, but we can offer the same package while staying at standard luxury places or deluxe accommodations in case you want the accommodations upgraded. You can always request for upgraded accommodations depending on your budget and preference.

We work with and have contracts with many beach resorts and hotels in Zanzibar Island. We can therefore customize this tour with a beach hotel of your choice and style. We only need to know if you prefer a lively beach or a rather serene and quieter beach line, but also if you want midrange or standard luxury or even deluxe beach hotels and resorts. You can also choose to stay in a small hotel with fewer rooms or a large resort and we will recommend a good option for you.

8 Days Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar Beach – Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Kilimanjaro transfer to Arusha

On this first day in Tanzania you will arrive at the Kilimanjaro International Airport 45 minutes’ drive from Arusha. You will be picked by our TSS representative and transferred to your lodge / hotel in Arusha for overnight. Overnight at the Ilboru Safari Lodge. Dinner is included.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Early morning breakfast at your lodge in Arusha then your guide will pick you up from the lodge and transfer you in a 4×4 safari jeep to Tarangire National Park (about 2 hours’ drive from Arusha). It is a scenic drive from Arusha to Tarangire with amazing scenery and sights of the Maasai herdsmen tending for their cattle. Arriving at around mid-morning you will register at the park’s gate and start on your first safari game drive straightaway in this famous park n Tanzania’s Northern safari circuit. The Tarangire River cuts across the park ensuring a constant supply of water and many animals converge at the banks in search of water. Tarangire is characterized by large herds of elephants and the huge baobab trees that dot the plains of Tarangire. Later in the afternoon after enough game viewing you will be transferred to the Karatu where you will check in at the Marera Valley Lodge. All meals included.

Day 3

Ngorongoro Crater safari

Breakfast will be taken early this morning or depart with packed breakfast and packed lunch. You will be picked up by your guide guide early this morning who will transfer you to the Loduare (main) gate at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will register for you to enter the NCAA. You will then make you next stop at the Ngorongoro Crater’s View point for fascinating views over the Crater’s floor and a chance to take photos. You will then drive down the winding roads that go down the 600 meter walls towards the floor of the Crater where majority of the animals roam this 21 kilometer wide world’s largest unbroken caldera. The Ngorongoro Crater is famous for it’s large number of cats with large lion prides, large herds of elephants, buffaloes, leopards, large and small antelopes, but also the rare black rhino. You can spot all the big five on one lucky day. Later after satisfactory game viewing you will be transferred back to your lodge at Karatu for dinner and overnight. Overnight at Marera Valley Lodge at Karatu. All meals included.

Day 4

Lake Manyara – Arusha - Zanzibar

Early this morning after breakfast or with packed breakfast and packed lunch you will descend down the Rift valley escarpment; a very scenic drive and into the floor of the of the Great Rift Valley. You will register at the Lake Manyara National Park’s main gate and enter the park for game drives for the whole morning until around noon when you will take your picnic lunch at the park’s gate again before leaving to Arusha. Lake Manyara is very famous for its legendary tree climbing lions but also large herds of elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, giraffes, did diks hippos and many more. Lake Manyara is also one of the best birding safari destination with more than 440 bird species spotted and recorded. Later in the afternoon after satisfactory game drives you will be driven to Arusha Domestic Airport for your domestic flight to Zanzibar Island. On arrival you will be transferred to the beach for relaxation, dinner and overnight. Overnight at Karafuu Beach Hotel. All meals included.

Day 5 - 7

Beach Stay at Zanzibar

After your memorable African safari adventure in the Northern Tanzania Safari circuit you will spend these 3 full days at leisure enjoying a beach holiday in the Island of Zanzibar. You will be booked on half board with breakfast and dinner included. Lunch can be ordered from the restaurant and paid as extra Overnight at the Karafuu Beach Hotel / Bondeni Rooms. Dinner included.

Day 8

Transfer to Zanzibar Airport - Departure

Breakfast at leisure in your beach hotel at Zanzibar Island then you will check out around 10 -11.00 Hrs (depending on the hotel’s check out policy) and transferred to the Zanzibar International Airport (ZNZ) for your flight back home. You can be booked on a Day room that expires at 06.00 pm (at extra cost) but only on availability and at the discretion of the hotel.

This marks the end of your 8 days Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar beach holiday.
